Suzi’s wheel thrown vessel forms using black and white stoneware clay. These are then decorated with crater and crawl glazes to give texture and tactility to each piece. The result are large scale statement pieces, impactful both in appearance and in concept. Her ceramics are examining interpretations and contradictions of the inner self.

Starting out as a wedding cake designer, Suzi developed an eye for intricate design and construction. A longing to make work that had permanence led her to study for a BA (Hons) degree in 3D Design Crafts. This meant building on the skills she already had whilst learning a whole new craft.
