A collection of porcelain for the table, a gathering, where time and occasion are valued.
A warm, soft satin glaze envelops the calm but strong forms in a smooth, rich, tactile surface. Form and function come together with subtle traces of the hand that are left when the porcelain is soft, creating an intimate engagement with the objects through use.
The objects reflect and absorb the ever-changing atmosphere that emphasizes the porcelain’s sensitivity to light and a translucent quality of fine edges. Concerns of function and form inspire these objects, thinking through making identified within an applied art context.
