Louise has been working with textiles and design since gaining a BA Hons Degree in Fashion and Textiles – specialising in Surface Decoration.

Her inspiration derives from her love of pattern, looking at the positive and negative – the pattern within the picture -. Louise also loves working with colour, exploring how the ‘feel’ of an image changes with the use of varying colours. Working from her studio in Cornwall she produces a range of images made from lino cuts which have been inspired by her everyday surroundings. The lino cuts are printed onto linen and she then uses fabric application and hand stitching to add detail and texture. The prints are then backed and mounted into a simple frame.
