It is wet and windy out there, but we are still very much open for business. Earlier in February, we spent 2 days renovating the gallery. All ready for half-term now. We have plenty of new work to exhibit and discover. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we also have a great selection of jewellery and handmade hearts. Heart cushions, and wire-work and ceramic hangings. Don’t forget to pick up a card, as well.
Beyond Valentine’s Day, we have currently our biggest ever display of Sculptures by Zoe Coles. Her hares, chickens, pigeons and foxes made out of papermache and coated with resin and metal are incredibly lifelike, energetic and wonderful.
New work keeps arriving every week now, so make sure you drop in, when you are in the area not to miss anything. For a small selection, please look at our online shop.

DM 22 – Tiger Tail Seahorses
“My recent work concentrates on my love of the sea and the amazing life it contains. As a qualified diver, I feel privileged to be able to come face to face with the subjects that I draw. It is this fineness of detail in Debby’s high quality etchings, aqua-tints and mezzo-tints, which makes the range of British Marine Life greeting cards so unique and special. Each card image is taken from an original print by Debby Mason. The first range focuses on British Marine Life.
Dm 21 – Boar Fish
Debby has been a printmaker for 25 years, living on the Devon Coast near Plymouth. Inspired early in her life by Jacques Cousteau she learned to dive and has been active on a number of marine conservation programs since.

Glassblower and Designer Richie Alli was part of the very first Plymouth College of Art graduates exhibition we held here at 45 Southside. His work and talent since then has gone from strength to strength. Richie uses diamond cutting techniques with great precision, skill and visual sensitivity to create functional works of art in glass as well as sculptural works.
The latest delivery includes some stunning pieces like this ammonite vase. Beautiful!
Equally stunning and complementing the blue glass lamp is a blue glass vase.
